The NDA is a premier joint services academy of the Indian Armed Forces where cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force receive training before they are commissioned as officers. It is located in Khadakwasla, Pune.
The NDA offers a comprehensive three-year training program that equips cadets with the essential skills and knowledge required to become future military leaders.
Students in their final year of 12th standard can also be considered eligible for the NDA exam, provided they can submit proof of passing the exam by the last date of application. Physics and mathematics must be compulsory subjects for you. You must have a minimum of 60% marks in your 12th.
NDA Age Limit: Candidates must fall within the age bracket of 16.5 to 19.5 years as of specific birth dates to be eligible for the NDA examination. Educational Qualifications: Educational prerequisites vary by the wing of the National Defence Academy.
The National Defence Academy (NDA) welcomes students from all academic streams—Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce and Arts. However, choosing the Non-Medical stream, which includes Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, offers the most comprehensive opportunities. Students with this background are eligible to apply for all three branches of the armed forces: Indian Army, Indian Airforce and Indian Navy. In contrast, students from other streams are only eligible for entry into the Indian Army. Therefore, for those aspiring to maximize their options and opportunities within the NDA, the Non-Medical stream is the optimal choice.
